Favourite people

Back in 2017, Ed and I wondered why is no one talking about adult friendship.

There are hundreds and hundreds of books about friendship for kids (how to say sorry, how to meet someone, why is important not to lie to friends, sharing is caring, and so on) but it seems like we assumed, as adults, that we have all figured it out friendship wise. Almost "since we're all adults, we don't fight, have crisis or misunderstandings anymore" or "of course we should all know how to apologize by now" or my favourite: "of course we all know how to make friends as adults"

We read all the papers, research and study cases on adult friendship (spoiler alert: there are not that many) and this book is everything we found about it, documentary style. We talked with experts (therapists, people who really know about the subject), friends, parents and strangers.

Personas Favoritas ("favourite people") was published in 2017 by SM Ediciones in Chile, and right now I'm working on the English translation!

The whole book was painted with Copic markers and inked by hand. Many people asked me why the book is in black and white, and it's because printing books in Chile is MEGA expensive. I wanted the book to be as cheap as possible, so more people could afford and have access to read it.
